Local Texas Reviews

Update. After sending this rerview, we were contacted by John at Elders. He was apologetic and made things right. He payed for the install we had completed by our local plumber that brought this to our attention. I can see this as being an isolated incident due to one employee and we will continue to call Elders to service our water system on the future. The water filter install went fine at first, but the piping in our attic was missing the Air Gap and the PTrap. We had a sewer exhaust smell in our laundry room due to an airline being duct taped to the hard pipe. When we inquired to have this corrected, the response from the salesman was, "that's how we always do the install." When someone finally came out to "fix" the issue, it was done with pvc pipe and more duct tape. We are now forced to contact a local plumber to come out and fix this issue created by Elders and also have the leaking RO water lines under the sink repaired that was also installed by Elders Pure Water. The first picture attached is the original work performed and the second two pictures are the "repair" work performed. The salesman, Joey King, promised the moon and delivered shoddy craftsmanship and excuses.
The Service tech was great! He took time to explain everything to me. He had gotten stuck in traffic and was courteous in calling to say he was going to be a few minutes late.
Love, love, love Elders Water. I initially contacted them to try and figure out why I had smelly water. Not only were they able to flush and clean my lines, they solved my smelly water issue in one trip at a very reasonable price. I then asked them to take over the maintenance contract for my water softener. Thats when I realized my previous provider was not only over charging me, but also had me on a schedule that was way overkill and unnecessary. Same situation with my RO system. Elders now services/maintains both. Later, I had an emergency leak at my whole house filter connection on a Sunday and John sent Kyle out very quickly to fix the problem. When I called, I had no expectations of getting help until Monday but Elder’s (Kyle - who is just the BEST) came through for us in a desperate time of need. I will forever be loyal to Elders. They have proved time and time again that they are the real deal!

I recently had John and his team with Elder's Pure Water come out to my home to test our water and give us estimates on water softeners and Reverse Osmosis water purifier to get bottle quality water at our sink. John tested our water and gave us... very fair pricing options up front. Chase arrived for our install right on time and had our RO system installed in less than an hour! Would highly recommend John and his team for any of your water purification service needs.read more

I am a realtor and my clients were closing on their home in Aledo in five days and their lender told us we needed a well water test. When I told KYLE @elder about our needs and how quickly we needed the results, he couldn’t guarantee that we would... get it back in time. Not only did they get it back in time for us to close, they got it back two days before closing. They were great. I highly recommend them if you need a well, water test or any other serviceread more

I had an issue with my AO Smith water softener and I called Elder’s. They came out the next morning and worked on it. Long story short, I ended up buying a whole new system with a breaker because we have a lot of iron. Joey was super kind and... helpful. The very next morning, Chase showed up with my new system and installed it within a couple hours. This system made a world of difference. Elder’s Joey and Chad were both professional and very knowledgeable about the water softener. Would definitely use them for any future maintenance or work. Highly recommend Elder’s.read more

I contacted elders pure water a few times for different quotes, which they quickly gave over the phone. This was the only company willing to talk prices without coming out first, and I really appreciated that. The install tech showed up exactly on... time to install a new softener/ro filter for our house, and did an excellent job. Including a trip to home Depot for a fitting, a bag of salt, and an extension cord for my new softener, the install took about 3 hours which I thought was incredibly fast.Really appreciated the great service and very fair pricing. I would certainly recommend and use this company on the future. Thank you!read more

Frequently Asked Water Treatment Questions:

What is water treatment?

Water treatment is any process that improves the quality of water for a specific purpose. Reasons for improving water quality may include drinking, cooking, bathing, or other household activities.

How does water treatment work?

Water treatment works by running water through chemicals and filters to remove toxins and hazards. This is done at both the municipal level and at a private level in homes and/or businesses. While a water treatment plant may make water potable again, healthy, clean, quality water can only be truly achieved at the point of service (pos). This is because the water running to your home or business, from the municipal water supply, picks up contaminants from the pipes it runs through. In-home water treatment or POS systems, run your water through an additional set of filters and media that remove contaminants that may have both been picked up from the city water pipes and those that may not have been removed to begin with.

How many steps are in the water treatment process?

There are typically 9 steps in the municipal water treatment process: Collection, Screening and Straining, Chemical Addition, Coagulation and Flocculation, Sedimentation and Clarification, Filtration, Disinfection, Storage, and finally Distribution. Private water treatment systems for homes or businesses can have anywhere from 3 to 16 filtration stages that work to remove additional contaminants. Some of these stages include carbon, reverse osmosis, UV light, and remineralization.
