I had an issue with my AO Smith water softener and I called Elder’s. They came out the next morning and worked on it. I contacted elders pure water a few times for different quotes, which they quickly gave over the phone. This was the only company willing to talk prices without coming out first, and I really appreciated that. The install tech showed up exactly on... time to install a new softener/ro filter for our house, and did an excellent job. Including a trip to home Depot for a fitting, a bag of salt, and an extension cord for my new softener, the install took about 3 hours which I thought was incredibly fast.Really appreciated the great service and very fair pricing. A commercial water softener works much like a residential softener does by pushing hard water through an ion exchange filter to remove minerals (that exist naturally in water) and replace them with soft water. The ion exchange filter contains negatively charged resin beads coated in sodium which capture magnesium & calcium (naturally positively charged) and replace them with the sodium.
